Mechanical Equipment
Single Scania DSC11 300hp turbo diesel main engine (new in 1982)
coupled with a 4:1 reduction gearbox delivers approx 11 knots at max
revs of ca 1800 and 9 knots cruising. Fuel consumption is ca 15-20
litres per hr at cruising revs. Fuel capacity is 7 tons in 2 steel
tanks. There is also a Volvo MD11 auxiliary engine used for the
hydraulics, salvage pump & fire pump. Hydraulic Bow Thruster. The
very large walk-in engine room area includes a large workbench and work
area.
Electrical System 4 batteries in 2 banks, isolated, 12v/24v and 240v
shore power. Batteries charge from engine (40 AMP) or battery charger
(30 AMP). There is also a Ruggerini Markon 6KW generator (new 2004 - 40
hours use).
